Jin Xiangjun, the deputy secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Shanxi Provincial Committee and governor of Shanxi Province, is now under official scrutiny for suspected serious violations of Party discipline and national laws.
The announcement was made on Saturday by the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) and the National Commission of Supervision, China’s top anti-corruption bodies.
Jin is currently subject to disciplinary review and supervisory investigation, marking a significant development in China’s ongoing efforts to reinforce Party integrity and combat corruption at high levels of government.
The probe signals continued resolve by central authorities to hold senior officials accountable, regardless of rank or position. No further details about the nature of the violations were disclosed at this stage.
