In a recent press briefing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning emphasized that China honors the paths of development chosen by various nations and stands against any form of discrimination or prejudice. Mao Ning urged actions that would enhance the bilateral friendship and mutual respect between China and New Zealand.
To address the matter, China has taken diplomatic steps by having its embassy in New Zealand formally present diplomatic representations to the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. This move signals China’s intent to maintain a respectful and cooperative relationship with New Zealand amidst the ongoing discussions.
