China Airlines has expanded its operations in Japan with the introduction of a new daily route connecting Taichung and Okinawa. This addition enhances the airline’s presence in the region, increasing the total number of weekly round-trip flights between Taiwan and Japan to over 170. The service is facilitated by the Airbus A321neo aircraft, offering travelers more options for both business and leisure travel.
The newly launched flight, CI310, takes off from Taichung at 10:00 a.m. and lands in Okinawa at 12:40 p.m. The return journey on flight CI311 departs Okinawa at 1:40 p.m., reaching Taichung by 2:10 p.m. This schedule is designed to provide convenient travel times for passengers looking to explore the cultural and natural attractions of Okinawa.
Further expanding its services, China Airlines is set to introduce a second daily flight starting August 13. Flight CI312 will depart Taichung at 3:20 p.m., arriving in Okinawa at 6:00 p.m. The return flight, CI313, is scheduled to leave Okinawa at 7:00 p.m. and arrive back in Taichung at 7:30 p.m. This additional service will bolster connectivity and offer more flexibility for travelers.
With the inclusion of this new route, China Airlines will significantly increase its flight frequency to Okinawa, operating approximately 30 round-trip flights each week from various locations, including Taipei and Kaohsiung. This expansion is a strategic move to enhance travel links between Taiwan and Japan, catering to the growing demand for air travel in this popular corridor.
The introduction of these services underscores China Airlines’ commitment to strengthening its network in Northeast Asia, providing travelers with more choices and better connectivity. By improving access to Okinawa, the airline is poised to capture a larger share of the market, benefiting both tourism and business travel between the two regions.
