China and India are gearing up for their 25th round of Special Representatives’ Talks on the Boundary Question, a development confirmed by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun. During a routine press briefing on Tuesday, Guo highlighted that both nations remain engaged in dialogue over border issues and are focused on executing the agreements from the prior discussions.

The talks come as Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is visiting New Delhi for the 16th Meeting of BRICS National Security Advisors and High Representatives on National Security. As part of his visit, Wang held a meeting with Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval on Monday, underscoring the continuing diplomatic interaction between the two countries.

Guo conveyed that the situation along the China-India border is stable, and both sides have maintained effective communication channels. He emphasized that efforts are underway to actively implement the consensus from the 24th round of boundary talks, indicating a commitment to progress in resolving border-related matters.

The forthcoming discussions are anticipated to further the ongoing efforts to address border issues and uphold peace and stability along the shared frontier. Both countries aim to build on the momentum from previous negotiations to ensure a harmonious relationship in the region.
